Ice Skating and Hockey

There are two ice rinks available – one for ice hockey and one for figure skating & other ice activities.  Each rink is equipped with lights for night-time skating.

  • West Ice Rink – open to the public during normal park hours, depending upon temperature and weather conditions.

  • East Hockey Rink – Reserved for scheduled activities ONLY. Open to the public only during scheduled open skate, open hockey & stick-n-puck sessions.

 

Skate rental is available during scheduled open skate, open hockey & stick-n-puck sessions. Sizes and quantities are limited.

 

The hockey rink is the home of the Brandon Valley Ice Cats youth hockey, Brandon Valley Men’s GHL hockey and Brandon Valley Women’s hockey programs.

 

Helmets are required to use the ice hockey rink. Don't forget to dress warm - long pants, gloves, hats and coats are recommended. 

 

Days & Hours of Operation

Mid-November though early March.  Opening and closing dates will vary depending upon temperatures and weather conditions.

 

  • West Ice Rink: Normal park hours (8:00AM – 10:00PM)

  • East Hockey Rink: Check the scheduled activities on the Brandon Valley Hockey calendar.  All other times are closed to the public.

 

 

Contact the Brandon Valley Hockey Association for information on the Brandon Valley youth hockey program or to reserve time on the east hockey rink.

 

Sledding Hill

The sledding hill boasts over 65,000 square feet of sledding space.  The hill is open from November through March, depending upon snow conditions.  It is equipped with lighting for night-time sledding.  Bring your own sled.

Don't forget to dress warm - long pants, gloves, hats and coats are recommended.
